LED lighting is the largest lighting trend. According to the U.S. Department of Energy projections, LED lighting trends will continue in the future; it is expected to make significant progress in 2017 and will occupy a place in the coming decades. The US Department of Energy predicts that LED lighting will account for 75% of all lighting sales in 2030.
This is a very significative trend. When considering the overall energy cost, in the long run, LED lighting is more affordable and practical than other alternatives. Although LED lighting does have higher upfront costs, overall energy costs associated with LED lighting are much lower throughout its lifetime.
“The current LED lighting efficiency is six or seven times as traditional lighting and the lasting time is more than 25 times longer,” the U.S. Department of Energy said. Full switching to LED lighting over the next 20 years could save the United States $250 billion in energy costs, reduce lighting power consumption by nearly 50%, and avoid 18 million tons of carbon emissions.
High demand for indoor household lighting replacement
Consumers need to replace old lighting products, which has always been an important factor in driving demand for LED products. Perhaps because of this, lighting manufacturers are most optimistic about the sales situation of home LED lighting products. More than half of respondents believe that in the next two years, in the demand for lighting replacement, indoor lighting will be the largest beneficiary category, a slightly higher proportion than the April 2017 Spring Lighting Fair. Other product categories that may benefit include indoor office and commercial lighting, outdoor lighting (excluding signs and advertising lamps) and indoor industrial lighting, while automotive and transport lighting are least likely to benefit from the demand for replacement products.
From the above official information and exhibition information, we know that LED lighting has a bright future. Our company will keep good quality, let our LED lighting meet the requirements of the times and comply with consumers demand.
